Who We Are:

Tucker Masseth

Hello! My name is Tucker and I am one of the owners and operators of TNT Timber. I am a Graduate from Vermilion Community College, out of Ely Minnesota. I graduated with an associates degree in applied science, majoring in Natural Resource Technology, with a focus on forestry and wildlife. I was part of the forestry and wildlife club at Vermilion, where I found my passion for the forest. I furthered my education and training, working two seasons out west for the Colorado State Forest Service. At the end of my second season I knew I wanted to keep working in the forest. Minnesota being my home, I decided to combine my skills and knowledge to start my own forest service. I have found my passion here in Minnesota, where I plan to keep working hard and continue to learn about the forest.

Tyler Masseth

Hello! My name is Tyler Masseth. I am one of the owners and operators of TNT Timber. I grew up in Moorhead Minnesota and moved to Duluth in 2008 after finishing high school. My love for the outdoors and appreciation for our states forests is what drew me to this area. I spent a few years juggling jobs and searching for a career I was passionate about, but was unable to find my place. One thing I knew for sure is I loved working outdoors and wanted be outdoors whenever I could. During this time, my younger brother Tucker was attending school at Vermillion College in Ely Minnesota, in pursuit of a degree in Forestry and Natural Resources. His passion and excitement about forestry and forest health opened my eyes to an industry I knew little about, even though it was taking place right under my nose. He became my mentor in many respects and we began to discuss how we could make a positive impact on the very forests we enjoy and call home.  During the fall of 2015 we had our first opportunity to work together in the forest on a spruce cutting crew, prior to Christmas holiday. After that we were hooked. We couldn't stop talking about the possibility of starting our own business and having a lasting impact on our states forest. The following year we were in business and began our journey as forest service providers in Minnesota.

The forest is a wild and unpredictable place and provides us with a new set of challenges every day we go to work. I am lucky to have my brother by my side and seek his advice and insight as I continue to grow and educate myself about our growing forests. I hope we can get the opportunity to share our passion with you and provide you with a service that will have a lasting positive effect for years to come!
